WITH Bromsgrove, Rubery and South Birmingham under several inches of snow, residents of all ages have been taking advantage of the welcome wintry weather.

School closures have given youngsters the chance to get their sledges out, with the Lickey Hills and other steep locations in the region proving popular with thrill-seekers.

Others have siezed the chance to put their artistic skills to the test and, among the impressive creations sent to us or posted on our social networking pages were snowmen, snow animals and igloos.
