THE SNOW of the last week, which began last Thursday (January 17), has provided plenty of opportunity for fun.
School closures gave youngsters the chance to get their sledges out, with the Lickey Hills and other hilly areas in the region proving popular with thrill-seekers.
Others siezed the chance to put their artistic skills to the test and, among the impressive creations sent to us or posted on our social networking pages were snowmen, snow animals and igloos.
Youngsters took more than five hours building the Cloverdale Igloo on Sunday (January 20), from 11am and 4.30pm.
And birthday boy Liam got the chance t/o sit on the igloo roof while the other builders sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to him.
Another igloo built was on the Oakalls. Dad Olly and youngsters Oscar and Dylan Rees embarked on the four-day 6ft construction project from last Friday (January 18) to Monday (January 21).
Olly said: “When we ran out of snow in the back garden, they cleared snow from our neighbours’ driveways and took the sledge to the local park, pulling back loads of snow one sledge load at a time.”
But, before it gets washed away, here is a selection of your pictures.
