THE HEAVY snow that has fallen across Bromsgrove, Rubery and South Birmingham has affected a number of services.
The 144 bus is now terminating at Bromsgrove and is not continuing through to Birmingham. It is still running between Worcester to Bromsgrove
The 141, which runs between Bromsgrove, The Stokes and Droitwich, has been withdrawn for the remainder of the day due to bad snow.
In South Birmingham, the 61 bus from Birmingham will terminate at the Dingle Pub island in Frankley and the 63 will terminate at Leech Green Lane.
Worcestershire County Council has announced the 182 and 183, which operate between Bromsgrove, Lickey and Redditch, has been withdrawn for the remainder of the day due to bad snow.
Bromsgrove District Council has cancelled all of its bin collections for today (Friday), due to the heavy snow.
The authority has announced that some grey bins were collected first thing this morning, but all crews have now returned to the depot.
A Bromsgrove District Council spokesperson said: "Refuse vehicles can weigh up to 26 tonnes and are much bigger than most household delivery vehicles, it is essential that we do not drive on roads when drivers make a judgement that it is not safe to do so.
"We would like to apologise for the disruption to waste collection services due to the poor weather."
Those who were due to have their bin collected should put theirs out on Tuesday (January 22).
The authority has said that it hopes to catch up with the missed collections between Tuesday and next Friday (January 22 and 25).
Sandwell Leisure Trust has announced the Ryland Centre will be closing at 10.30am today (Friday) due to the severe weather conditions.
The One Stop Shop in Bromsgrove and the Council House will not open tomorrow due to the severe weather.
A district council spokesperson said the decision had been taken because there had been hardly any visits to both places and there had been hardly any customer service phone calls either.
