A BLACK Land Rover Freelander was stolen during a robbery in Rubery on Saturday (December 22).
The vehicle, which had the registration LV51 NLA, was taken at around 3pm, from Ash Path, which is off Gunner Lane and leads up to Waseley Hills Country Park.
The Land Rover was taken after the driver - a woman in her 40s - got out to feed her horses and left the keys in the ignition.
She was pushed to the floor by a man who drove off in the vehicle, reversing quickly down Ash Path, before crashing into the gates of the house. He then turned the vehicle around and sped off into Gunner Lane.
The attacker was white with a pale complexion and was aged 17 to 18. He had short dark hair and was wearing baggy grey tracksuit bottoms, a dark jacket and plimsoll trainers which had light-coloured soles.
Det Con Kevin Hadley, who is investigating the robbery, said it was lucky the woman was not injured, but added she was left shaken and upset by her ordeal.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area on Saturday and may have seen the man who stole the vehicle, or where it went to out of Gunner Lane."
Because of the way in which it was taken, it is likely the Land Rover has damage to its rear lights.
It has a dark grey cover over the rear spare wheel, with the Land Rover logo on it.
DC Hadley said the vehicle was very low on diesel when it was stolen.
He added he was keen to hear from anyone who noticed a similar vehicle abandoned nearby and urged any staff to from local garages to call the police if they knew of an incident where a Land Rover or a man on foot matching the description had made off without paying for fuel.
Anyone with any information about the incident should call Bromsgrove CID on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
