A MAN in his 40s was punched in the face as he walked in Bromsgrove in the early hours of Sunday morning (December 16).

The incident, which took place between 2am and 3am along Recreation Road, towards Churchfields Road, began when the victim saw three men walking towards him. One shouted across to him, before running over and hitting him.

The attacker was white, 19 or 20-years-old, 6ft 2ins tall, and of medium build.

He had brown wavy medium length hair and was wearing a grey zip-up hooded top.

PC Donna Hopkins, who is investigating the incident, said it appeared to be an unprovoked attack and appealed for anyone who had witnessed it or anyone with any information on it to call her on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Luckily the victim did not need hospital treatment.
