THOSE wanting to have their say on the boundary change proposals for Bromsgrove have just days left to make their voices heard.
Currently, Bromsgrove has 39 councillors across 23 electoral wards, with some having just one councillor, some having two and others having three.
Under the new recommendations by the independent Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE), Bromsgrove would have 32 wards with one councillor each. By 2018, it is anticipated those areas would have an average of 2,440 electors.
The review was requested by Bromsgrove District Council in February 2011 and, since then, there have been representations from the various political parties, councillors, parish councils and local residents, who have all had their say. The current recommendations from the LGBCE have been based on the feedback received so far.
Max Caller, the chair of the Commission, said: “This is your chance to have a say on how your area is represented in the future.
“Our review aims to deliver electoral equality across Bromsgrove so that each councillor represents a similar number of voters.
"We also want to ensure that the new wards reflect the interests and identities of local communities.
“We will consider every submission we receive during the consultation.”
Those wanting to have their say can e-mail the Review Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org or comment directly through the Commission's consultation portal at consultation.lgbce.org.uk.

The deadline for submissions is Monday (January 7).
