13 cars targeted by paint-stripper vandals

MORE than £4,500 worth of damage was caused to 13 vehicles which had what was believed to be paint stripper poured over them while they were parked in a hospital staff car park.

The incident happened at Dolan Park Hospital, Stoney Lane, Tardebigge, at around 4pm yesterday (Wednesday),

And, following the attack, four youths wearing dark clothing with their hoods up were seen running off into a field.

Among the vehicles targeted were a Land Rover Freelander, which suffered £1,000 damage, a Daewoo Lanos which sustained damage totalling £1,000, a Kia which had £400 worth of damage, a Toyota Yaris which had £800 worth of damage, a Ford Mondeo which also had £800 worth of damage, and a Peugeot which had £500 damage.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call PC Simeon Darrall Jones on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A man was arrested yesterday (Wednesday) and is currently helping police with their inquiries.
