Bromsgrove Christmas refuse and recycling dates

By Carl Jackson Friday 21 December 2012 Updated: 21/12 16:58

THE DISTRICT council has issued the revised dates for collecting waste and recyclables over the Christmas and New Year period.

There will be no collections Christmas Day (December 25), Boxing Day (December 26) and New Years Day (January 1).

The new arrangements are as follows, with the revised date in brackets next to the normal day of collection.

Over Christmas: Tuesday December 25 (Thursday December 27), Wednesday December 26 (Friday December 28), Thursday December 27 (Saturday December 29), Friday December 28 (Monday December 31).

In the new year the revised collection arrangements will simply be the day after the usual collection with normal service resumed from Monday January 7.

Green and grey bins will still be collected on alternative weeks and the council is still urging residents to put them out no later than 7am on the day of collection.

If bins are not collected because of bad weather the council have advised people to leave them at the kerbside in a safe location and they will pick them up as soon as conditions are suitable.
