A MAN was knocked to the floor and had his phones and van stolen by robbers in Hollywood at around 10am on Wednesday (December 12).

The white Renault Master van was parked outside a house in Hollywood Lane, while the driver went to deliver a parcel. He closed the back door to the van and felt a push to his shoulder which caused him to fall over.

A man he did not know picked up his keys and drove off in the vehicle which contained a large number of parcels and the victim's two phones - a black iPhone worth £500 and a Nokia worth £250. A £160 TomTom satnav was also taken.

The Renault left in convoy with another white van and was found abandoned in Goodrest Lane, Kings Norton, a short time later.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on bail pending further inquiries.

Anyone with any information should call DC Matt Archer on 0300 333 3000, quoting incident number 37-N-121212, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
