SOME Bromsgrove and Droitwich residents will have extra cause to feel festive as they live on one of the 560 streets across the Midlands which have a Christmas themed name.

Research by Royal Mail has revealed there are over 3,369 festive named streets in the UK, with the majority in this region.

Holly Street is the top name nationally with almost 990 listings but others include Christmas Pie Avenue, Myrrh Street, Jingles Lane, Bethlehem Way, Garland Place and Sleigh Drive.

Roads in Bromsgrove with Christmas connections include Chestnut Road, Stable Way, Firs Close and Holly Road. To go with the latter one, there is an Ivy Lane in Romsley. And there is also Robins Hill Drive in Alvechurch and Shepherds Way in Droitwich.

Royal Mail is also reminding people last posting dates for Christmas are Thursday (December 20) for First Class, Tuesday (December 18) for Second Class, while the date for Special Delivery items is Saturday (December 22).
