M5 delays after two crashes between Bromsgrove and Droitwich

TWO CRASHES on the M5 this morning (Monday) have led to long tailbacks for rush hour commuters.

The first incident, involving three cars, took place on the southbound carriageway between Junction 4A (Bromsgrove) and 5 (Droitwich) at around 7.20am.

And then, at 8.30am, another crash, this one involving two vehicles, happened just 200 yards away from the first on the same southbound carriageway.

Luckily no one was seriously injured in the collisions, but, police say, the position of the cars on the carriageway has meant lengthy delays for drivers.

All lanes have now been re-opened, but there are delays of over an hour being reported, between Junction 4A, for the M42, and Junction 5.

There is also slow traffic between Junction 2 of the M42 and Junction 4A of the M5.
