THIS WEEKEND sees Bromsgrove Round Table's Father Christmas make his first appearance of the festive season.

He will be at the Primrose Hospice's Santa Dash in Sanders Park on Sunday (December 2).

The man in the big red suit, who will deliver presents for a donation, will officially start his tour of the district in Barnt Green on December 13.

After that, he will move on to Forelands, Hill Top and Greyfriars from 6.30pm on December 14.

On December 16, Father Christmas will journey to Stoke Heath from 4pm and on December 18, he will be at Rutherford Road and Harwood Park.

In the week before Christmas, Santa will be at Blackwood Road and Breme Park from 6.30pm on December 19, at Woodland Grange, Pennine Road and Lea Park Rise from 6.30pm on December 20 and in Catshill, Lickey End and Townsend Farm from 6.30pm on December 21.

Father Christmas' final stops will include Bromsgrove's Morrisons all day on December 22 and The Oakalls from 4pm on December 23, where he will also be making an appearance at the carol service.

The Round Table is also inviting Bromsgrove charities and other good causes across the district to apply for a share of the cash raised from this year's tour.

That can be done by writing to Mark at Bromsgrove Round Table, 23 Braces Lane, Bromsgrove, B60 1ED.

Alternatively, e-mail markjpsmy@yahoo.co.uk.

The deadline for applications is December 14.
