THE ANNUAL switching on of Bromsgrove’s Christmas lights will take place in the the town centre this Saturday.
The big countdown will be held at 5.30pm outside the Golden Cross Hotel on the High Street, before civic head Coun Janice Boswell flicks the switch to illuminate the town.
Prior to that, from 3pm, there will be plenty of festive fun for all ages.
That will include local acts and entertaninments, schools, art workshops and food and refreshments.
Coun Boswell said: “The annual Christmas lights switch-on is something I always look forward to.
“I am hoping as many people as possible come down to Bromsgrove and enjoy all the fantastic fun and entertainment.”
Next Saturday (November 24), also between 3pm and 5.30pm, Rubery’s annual Christmas lights switch-on will take place in the village.
