Motorcyclist injured in crash with lorry in Wythall

A MOTORCYCLIST suffered a head injury and a fractured collar bone after the bike he was riding was involved in a crash with a lorry in Wythall.

The incident happened on Hill Lane just before 6.30pm this evening (Tuesday).

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed an emergency doctor, a crew and a senior paramedic officer attended the scene.

“An off duty junior doctor had stopped to help and was with the man when crews arrived," the spokesperson added.

And she said, after being given pain relief and oxygen, the man, who was in his 20s, was immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board, before being taken to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
