Hi: 21° Lo:14° 7 day

RESIDENTS have been urged to attend a meeting to discuss the future of Rubery Youth Centre as the fight to maintain a building based service continues.
A Community Open Evening, will be held at the YouthWorcs centre on New Road, between 5pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday (November 28).
Worcestershire County Council which owns the centre decided it would close at the end of December and the building would be sold around June next year.
Youth services are set to continue in the area, headed up by Youth Sanctuary, however the council said the intention was to provide more outdoor focused activities.
Campaigners who fought the decision to close the centre for more than two years are carrying on the drive to maintain as much of their current youth service as possible in another building.
The latest plans are set to be discussed at Wednesday's meeting as well as information on how the public can get involved.
Refreshments will also be provided.
