A BMW 318i, burnt out in Bromsgrove in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday), was set on fire deliberately, police have said.
The incident happened in Lyttleton Avenue, Charford, between 2.15am and 2.25am.
A resident, disturbed by a noise at just after 2am, saw a man get into the driver's seat of the car and push the vehicle.
Three other men then joined him, along with two women who were in another vehicle, and they all pushed the car.
Then, around 15 minutes later, smoke was seen coming out of the car, before it became engulfed by flames.
Officers investiating the incident have been conducting house-to-house enquiries in the area and any witnesses or anyone with any information should call PC Carita Caldicott on 101 or Crimestopperson 0800 555 111.
