MORE THAN £20,000 worth of remote controlled model helicopters and cars have been stolen from the Saxon Business Park in Stoke Prior.
The incident took place at some time between 5pm and 10pm on Saturday (November 10) after a 3ft by 3ft hole was smashed in the wall to get into a warehouse of the wholesaler, which supplies hobby shops.
The items sell for £300 each and tha haul included 89 Dynam Mini Vortex M100 helicopters, worth £2,225, 48 Hobao Hyper TQ2 1:18 scale Nitro engine off-road buggy cars, worth, £13,440, 21 FTX Nitro Rampage off-road 1:10 scale trucks, worth £3,780, and 16 FTX Enrage electric off-road 1/10 scale buggies, worth £2,000.
Damage totalling £1,000 was also caused by the break-in.
PC Keith Higgins of West Mercia Police said: "A vehicle would have been needed to take the stolen goods away, and we are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything to contact us.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone who knows where the models are being stored now, or anyone seeing them offered for sale, as it is possible they may end up on a car boot sale or market stall in the run up to Christmas."
