Hi: 16° Lo:4° 7 day

INTERNATIONAL folk star Lucy Ward, aka the Blue Bombshell, will take to the stage at Catshill Club on Thursday (November
8), at part of Bromsgrove Folk Club’s latest event.
Lucy, who won best emerging talent and contribution to the folk scene titles at the 2011 BBC folk awards, will perform her self-penned songs, along with a mix of traditional and modern folk.
She has headlined festivals, played to packed audiences and has just returned from a tour of the Netherlands.
A spokesperson for the group said: “You don’t need to be a ‘folkie’ to enjoy this one.
“A great night with plenty of ‘wow’ factor, sparkle, personality and stunning vocals is assured.
“Lucy is sure to be a massive household name in the future.”
Lucy will be supported by resident band Fairfield for the gig, which starts at 8.15pm
Tickets, available on the door, are £6 for members, £8 for non-members and those who are 21 and under are half-price.
