Hi: 15° Lo:5° 7 day

RESIDENTS across Bromsgrove District will fall silent on Sunday (November 11) to remember those who have fought in conflicts over the years and for those serving in the armed forces today. Here are the times of this year’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations.
Bromsgrove
The parade musters in the High Street (outside Argos) at 10am. At 10.10am it will progress down the High Street, giving an eyes left to the Odd Fellows Memorial, before travelling into Church Street, across Market Street and up to St John’s Church. There, there will be the Remembrance Service, two-minute silence and laying of wreaths, before the parade goes down to the Burma Memorial for a second wreath-laying ceremony. Everyone is welcome to meet in the Bewell Head Working Men’s Club afterwards.
Catshill
The village’s annual Remembrance Service starts at 10am in Catshill Social Club, before a march to the war memorial on Stourbridge Road. The Royal British Legion County Chaplain for Worcestershire, Rev Neil Bennett, will lead the service after the two minutes silence at the memorial. There will then be free hot drinks back at Catshill Club.
Rubery
Those going along should assemble outside the Rubery Royal British Legion from 10.15am for a service of Remembrance at 10.30am. That will be followed by two-minute silence at 11am and a parade led by the Rubery Youth Marching Band. There will be a disco and buffet in the concert room afterwards. All welcome.
