A MAN was viciously assaulted in Bromsgrove town centre on Friday night (November 2), leaving him needing stitches.
The incident happened around 11.15pm near the junction linking Worcester Road to Hanover Street.
The victim, 23, suffered a cut to the back of his hand which required sewing up.
PC Aled Jones, of West Mercia Police, said a scuffle began in the street outside Charlie's Kebabs and carried on into the New Orient takeaway nearby.
"From CCTV, it appears that a number of people were standing in the street at the time of the incident and may have witnessed what happened," he added.
Anyone witnesses or anyone with any information should call PC Jones on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
