RESIDENTS across the district are being urged to have their say on plans for the future of Bromsgrove Library, which could see the current one on Stratford Road closed and the service relocated in the refurbished former Parkside School.
That building would also house a customer service centre, Registry Office, community hall and offices for council staff.
A meeting on the proposals will take place at 7pm on Tuesday (October 2) at the current Bromsgrove Library.
Those who go along will be able to find out more about the plans and quiz officers from the county council's Library and Learning team, who claim the move could lead to better adult learning provision, longer opening hours, extra meeting space and a café.
Coun John Campion, Worcestershire County Council's Cabinet Member for Libraries and Learning, said the consultation was well underway and a lot of people had already had their say on the plans.
"We would urge anyone who has an interest in the future of Bromsgrove Library to come along, hear more about the proposals and ask any questions they may have," he added.
The Bromsgrove Library consultation runs until a fortnight today (Friday, October 12).
Questionnaires, enabling users to have their say, are available from the library and online at www.worcestershire.gov.uk/bromsgrovelibrary.
