AN AMAZING 53,687 people have said no to cuts to services at the Alexandra Hospital.
The final Save the Alex petition total is an overwhelming rejection of proposals which threaten A&E and maternity services. A date will be arranged in the near future for the petition to be handed over.
But the campaign continues and residents can get involved by picking up template letters to send to hospital bosses telling them about their own concerns and experiences.
Another opportunity to join the letter writing campaign will also be available in Redditch's Kingfisher Centre next Saturday (September 22).
Visit www.savethealex.co.uk, @savethealex on Twitter or search Save the Alex on Facebook for more information about the campaign. Latest information is also available at www.bromsgrovestandard.co.uk or on The Standard's social media sites (www.facebook.com/bromsgrovestandard or @BromStand on Twitter).
