Hi: 15° Lo:5° 7 day

POWER tools worth more than £2,500 have been stolen during a burglary in Chaddesley Corbett.
A Stihl chainsaw worth £450, a £300 Stihl leaf blower, a £420 Stihl disc cutter and three Husqvarna chainsaws, totalling £1,650, were taken in the incident, which happened between 9am and 1pm last Monday (September 10).
Of the chainsaws, there was a green 181xp one, an orange 281xp one and a 338xpt chainsaw.
It is believed the items were taken from a barn at the property in Curslow Lane.
PC Andy Wallace said: "The thieves would probably have needed a van or large vehicle to take away all of these tools so we would like to hear from anyone who remembers seeing any vehicles parked in unusual circumstances that day.
"We would also ask anyone who is offered tools for sale similar to the ones stolen and is unsure of their origin to call us as soon as possible."
Officers have warned residents in rural areas to ensure power tools and other valuable items are locked away securely and are marked with a forensic marking product.
Witnesses or anyone with any information should call PC Wallace on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
