A BROMSGROVE woman will be taking to the streets of Newcastle this Sunday (September 16) for the annual Bupa Great North Run.
Charlotte Cole, who trains with Bromsgrove and Redditch Athletics Club, will be undertaking the half-marathon to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
The 20-year-old student told The Standard she was hoping to collect £200 for the charity.
"This is my first half-marathon and the first time I have done anything like this.
"I thought I would combine what I love doing - running - and raise some money for a good cause at the same time," added Charlotte.
