AN EXHIBITION by Bromsgrove artist Lynda Sharp entitled Art in Nature has gone on display at the town's library.

The 24 pieces have been done in pastel and mixed-media painting, using various techniques, and the collection includes wildlife pictures, animal portraits, landscapes and collage.

Lynda was a self-employed florist for 15 years, but then, in her late 40s, decided to study art in depth, taking a degree in art and design at Bournville College of Art.

She said: "I have enjoyed art all my life and I love working with pastel as a medium for animal painting as it is wonderful for creating texture."

Lynda, who is available for commissions, added she hoped visitors to the library would enjoy her work as much as she did creating it.

The exhibition runs until September 27.
