POLICE investigating the two BB gun attacks in Bromsgrove on Tuesday night (August 21) say they are looking for a distinctive VW Golf which was involved in the incidents.

On both occasions, which took place in Humphrey Avenue between 6pm and 7pm, witnesses saw the shots fired from the unusual red / copper coloured car.

The Golf, which had a new style number plate, was driven by a bald man in his mid-20s.

His front seat passenger was a woman, who was of a similar age and was heavily made up.

A teenage girl sustained minor hand injuries after being struck by one of the pellets.

Det Sgt Mark Roberts of Bromsgrove CID said: "Obviously this could have resulted in far more serious consequences.

"We are keen to speak to the owner of this distinctive VW Golf and would appeal to anyone who can help us identify the driver or thinks they know who owns it to contact us as a matter of urgency."

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call officers at Bromsgrove CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
