A VAN and car were stolen from a home in Cofton Hackett after burglars sneaked into the property and took the keys.
It is suspected thieves got in the house on Cofton Lake Road through an unlocked or open window between 10pm on Tuesday (August 28) and 5.45am yesterday (Wednesday).
The blue Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck and black BMW X5, which were stolen from the home's driveway, are yet to be found.
Police are urging residents to be vigilant in locking windows and doors after a similar incident happened at a home in Bewdley on Tuesday (August 28) where burglars entered the property through an unlocked back door and stole keys.
The red Ford Transit van was later reported to police after it was spotted on fire in a field.
The Police do not believe the two crimes were linked.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said both the burglaries and consequent vehicle thefts were opportunist and the thieves were easily able to sneak into the addresses.
He urged residents not to make it easy for thieves by ensuring doors and windows were locked.
Anyone with any information on the incidents should call police on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
