Police release CCTV after assault outside Charford pub

THESE CCTV pictures show two men West Mercia Police want to speak to in connection with an assault in Bromsgrove on August 5.

The incident happened at the Golden Lion pub, Charford Road, Charford, at around 8.20pm.

A man, who was with a group of male and female friends in the designated smoking area, was attacked by two other men.

One of his friends who tried to intervene was also assaulted and the two victims had to be treated for facial injuries - both of them at the scene by paramedics and one of them at Redditch's Alexandra Hospital as well.

The two men seen in the CCTV pictures were both white and in their early 40s.

One was around 5ft 11ins tall with short greying hair that was thinning on top. He wore a white T-shirt with a red logo on the front and spoke with a northern accent.

PC Catherine Atkinson appealed for anyone who recognised the men in the CCTV pictures or who witnessed the assaults to call her on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
