DROITWICH Dolphins members discovered how original members of the club used to train at a special event at The Lido.
The event was organised to celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary and saw club members train in an open air swimming pool as it used to when Dolphins formed.
Training would take place come rain or shine and the weather certainly showed the swimmers how different training was in those days.
It did not deter them though and they had a great time, as well as on, the water.
With zorbing arranged by the parent association, the beach area with fountain, a wet play area and refreshments, the swimmers managed to avoid a tough two-hour training session and enjoyed a great couple of hours.
