Hi: 23° Lo:10° 7 day

MORE THAN 100 cannabis plants, hydroponic equipment and fertiliser have been found at a house in Rednal.
The discovery of the cannabis factory came after around six masked men were seen breaking into the property in Beverley Road at 11pm on Saturday night (August 18).
They then left the scene in a white Astra van.
Residents who contacted us said the police had been present at the property since Saturday and that officers were seen today (Monday) going in and out in full white body suits.
A spokesman from West Mercia Police confirmed the discovery of the plants and equipment and added that electricians also had to be called in because the power supply had been tampered with.
Officers are now making inquiries into the incident, but have not yet made any arrests.
Det Sgt Steve Cook of Bromsgrove CID said: "We believe the break-in at that address was probably connected to the drugs we found inside and we would appeal to anyone who saw people there on Saturday night or knows who was involved to contact us as soon as possible.
"We are also interested in hearing from anyone who saw the white van there that evening and any other vehicle or people who visited the house in recent days.
"Drugs can cause a lot of harm and misery within our neighbourhoods," he added.
Anyone with any information on the Beverley Road incident should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
