Chance for a dancing role

YOUNG dancers are being sought to take a starring role in this year’s Palace Panto.

Sleeping Beauty has been chosen as the production for Christmas 2012 and will feature Maureen Nolan - a member of the Nolan Sisters one of the first all female family girl groups to achieve worldwide success - as the Evil Carabosse.

But the magical show needs two teams of dancers to work alongside the professional company to bring this classic tale to life.

Auditions are being held at the Palace Theatre in Alcester Street on Sunday, September 2 at 10am for dancers aged eight to 18-years-old. They must have a good jazz technique, classical training and most importantly, enthusiasm and willingness to learn which will add that extra sparkle.

All dancers must register before the auditions by contacting Nikki Leach at nikki@jordanproductionsltd.co.uk before Friday, August 24 to receive a registration form and further details.

This year’s Palace Panto runs from Monday to Sunday, December 3 to 30 and will see stars such as Brookside’s Steven Pinder and West End regulars Paul Tate - from Joseph, Anything Goes - and Eddie Dredge, from Starlight Express, take to the stage.
