A MAN has been charged with the murder of a mother of three who was stabbed to death in a taxi.
Natasha Trevis died following the attack at 8am on Tuesday (August 7) at the junction linking Hoggs Lane to Dimsdale Road near North Worcestershire Golf Club in Northfield.
The taxi driver called emergency services who arrived shortly after the incident, however despite the best efforts of paramedics and the doctor on board an air ambulance, the 22-year-old from Weoley Castle succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem carried out on Wednesday revealed she died of multiple stab wounds.
A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance said: "The woman was in traumatic cardiac arrest with multiple stab wounds. Emergency treatment was immediately carried out including specialist advanced life support techniques.
"Nothing could be done to save her."
Following a ten hour search Police arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of murder after finding him in a garden just metres away in Allens Farm Road.
After detectives were given extra time to question the man they charged him and he is due to appear before magistrates on Thursday.
Specialist liason officers from West Midlands Police are supporting Ms Trevis' family.
