A FUN packed line-up is in store for audiences at the Palace Theatre as its autumn programme kicks off at the start of September.

First up on the bill is a night of top-notch comedy as the Laughterhouse Comedy Show rolls in to town on Thursday, September 6, at 8pm.

The show features multi-award-winning Sully O’Sullivan as MC, with Joe Lycett, Phil Nichol and Rob Rouse taking to the stage to entertain the crowd.

The following night (September 7), Hendrix fans are in for a treat as Are You Experienced? The Jimi Hendrix Experience sees John Campbell perfect the guitar work, voice and persona of the man himself.

The world’s number one tribute to the legendary star sounds ‘uncannily’ like the real thing.

Soul lovers will not miss out on an entertaining Redditch evening either, as 7.30pm on Saturday, September 8, sees The Real Thing take the spotlight.

Britain’s number one soul band is celebrating 37 years together with its three original vocalists Chris Amoo, Eddie Amoo and Dave Smith having notched up three million-selling hit singles in the 70s.

With their own three piece band, The Real Thing’s performance will include all their top ten hits plus a medley of classics from the decade.

An amateur production is in store from Tuesday, September 11, to Saturday, September 15, at 7.30pm each night with a Saturday matinée at 2.30pm as The Harlequins return with a new show.

Classic musical The Sound Of Music is brought to the stage featuring all the songs, from How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria to My Favourite Things.

Children can also have fun at the theatre when The People’s Theatre Company present There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly at 1.30pm on Wednesday, September 19.

One of the world’s best loved nursery rhymes is brought to life with a feast of first class games, colourful animal characters and heart warming family fun.

And if the events in the main auditorium are not enough to whet the appetite, the Room Upstairs also boasts a varied and enjoyable programme for autumn 2012.

Acoustic blues/folk band BabaJack combine the powerful roots percussion and vocals of Becky Tate, the slide style and growling winebox guitars and rack harp of Trevor Steger and the double bass of Marc Miletitch.

Having recently released their third album Rooster, they will be visiting the Palace at 7.45pm on Friday, September 7.

On Saturday, October 6, at 7.45pm Yorkshire songwriter Roger Davies will become the latest in a long line of talented musicians to play the Palace.

As one of today’s most entertaining contemporary folk singer/songwriters, many of Roger’s songs are set in and around his native West Yorkshire.
