Hi: 15° Lo:5° 7 day

LEARNER drivers in Bromsgrove and Droitwich will be able to take their tests in their own towns from the autumn, thanks to new plans announced by the Government.
Halfords has been selected to provide alternative locations where tests can be carried in areas where a traditional test centre is not available.
Tests will continue to be conducted by DSA examiners and apply only to practical car tests, theory test centres will not be affected.
Road safety minister Mike Penning said: "Our aim is to provide all driving test candidates with a local service that is convenient as well as being cost effective."
