TWO MEN were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after a quantity of class A and class B drugs were seized in Charford.

The items were discovered after the execution of a search warrant at a property in Austin Road yesterday (Friday).

Among the drugs was cannabis, along with materials used for the production and supply of cannabis.

The pair, after being quizzed by officers, were released on police bail until October 17, pending further enquiries.

PC Tom Clayton, from Bromsgrove Police, said: "Although the issue of drugs is no more of a problem in Bromsgrove than it is elsewhere in the county, we will always robustly tackle production and supply of illegal substances due to the immeasurable misery they cause within our communities.

"By proactively targeting those who choose to engage in this type of criminality, we are bringing to justice people who cause so much harm within our local neighbourhoods."

He appealed for anyone with any information on substance misuse, dealing or other drug-related crime to contact officers on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
