A RECORD number of Droitwich Athletics Club members turned out for the challenging third race of the Worcestershire Midweek race series last week.
Held in the Spa, Droitwich AC comprised 30 of the 182 finishers and a number of them achieved personal bests.
For the ladies, Emily Humphries occupies third in the female open category, Angela Twine second in the F35 category and Amanda Husband third in the F40 category with just one race remaining.
Whilst for the men, Paul Little is first in the Male open category, Steve Wells sits joint third and Peter Robinson is second in the M45 category.
The fourth and final race of the series takes place at Halesowen on August 8.
If you are aiming to improve your fitness through running and want to train with Droitwich AC, they have groups for various abilities on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Meanwhile, Saturday (2pm) is Track Day where runners have the opportunity to take part in track and field training at Droitwich High School. Cost for the track is £1 for club members and £2 for non members. Beginners are always welcome.
