Hi: 21° Lo:14° 7 day

THERE will be plenty of summer fun on offer for youngsters in Bromsgrove throughout the school summer holidays.
The district council is running a Go for Fun programme, which will feature a variety of activities for all ages.
These include gymnastics workshops, ‘Startrack Athletics’ schemes with qualified coaches and the Dolphin Centre’s ‘Fundayz’, in partnership with Wychavon Leisure.
Other events include drumming workshops, Dance in the Park, Big Art in the Park and the return of the ever-popular Street Theatre - there will be six days of that throughout Bromsgrove district during August.
Coun Mike Webb, whose portfolio covers Leisure and Cultural Services, said the programme would help parents keep their children entertained over the school holidays.
“The Go for Fun programme is a great way to allow kids to have fun, keep fit, make friends and immerse themselves in both the usual activities, such as football and gymnastics, and activities with a difference like the circus skills and games workshops.”
Places are limited, so early booking for Go for Fun activities is recommended.
For a full list of events and activities, check out the Go for Fun brochure, which is available online at www.bromsgrove.gov.uk.
