USAIN Bolt will be able to reach 60mph in less than nine seconds before London 2012 even starts, thanks to MG Motor UK.
The Longbridge-based company is providing cars to the 100m world record holder and his fellow Jamaican colleagues, as well as the USA Olympic team, who are all based in Birmingham ahead of the start of the games on Friday (July 27).
The MG6 GT fastback and MG6 Magnette sports saloons, emblazoned with the relevant national flags, have been loaned to both teams to help the athletes get around town. And MG is hoping some of the stars will make it down to Longbridge to see how the vehicles are made.
Gary Egan, MG’s senior operations manager, said: "We are very proud to support both the Jamaican and American training camps.
"The MG6 cars will swallow all their kit bags with ease and the cars will help them get around Birmingham in comfort and style."
