Police warning over former Bromsgrove jailbreak man

RESIDENTS are being warned to be on their guard after a former Bromsgrove man escaped from jail.

Mathew Sharp, 25, is originally from Worcester but has also lived in Alderly Road

He escaped from Layhill Prison in Bristol on June 25, where he had been serving a sentence for GBH he recieved in 2007.

Police believe Sharp could be in Worcetershire and are appealing for information on his whereabouts.

Officers urged anyone who sees him not to approach him and to call 999. They also warned people would be committing a criminal offence by either harbouring or assisting him.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Sharp should call Police on 101 or crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
