Hi: 18° Lo:12° 7 day

ALL 55 shared ownership homes on Bromsgrove's Perryfields development have already been snapped up.
The last property on the site, which includes houses, bungalows and apartments, was sold a week ago, with the area proving popular with couples, single people and families.
Perryfields, built on a greenfields site on Perryfields Road, featured 158 homes, including social rent, intermediate market rent and shared ownership properties.
The £22million scheme was a joint development between Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (BDHT) and WM Housing Group.
It was supported by a grant from the Homes and Communities Agency and Bromsgrove District Council.
Mike Brown, BDHT's chief executive, said at least double the number of homes could have been sold on the site.
“The demand for shared ownership properties at the Perryfields development in Bromsgrove has outstripped supply, with many of the homes being reserved over 12 months ago before the properties were built.
"We must try and meet the aspirations of people in our local communities who want to buy their first home, and the local economy. "Developments like Perryfields are good for local people and vital for the local economy and businesses.
"I will be discussing the success of this project and where next for Perryfields 2 with representatives of Bromsgrove District Council and the business community as soon as possible.”
