A MAN was taken to hospital yesterday morning (Tuesday) after his car crashed into a bus shelter on Old Birmingham Road, Marlbrook, just before 9.25am.

Two crews of firefighters from Bromsgrove were sent to the scene and, working with paramedics, used specialist cutting equipment to remove the side of the car and get the man out.

He was then transferred to hospital after being placed on a spinal board.
