Hi: 9° Lo:3° 7 day

CASH, a computer and jewellery were all stolen when two homes in Romsley were burgled in broad daylight.
The incidents took place at neighbouring properties in The Alders, which were both broken into between 8am and 2.45pm last Tuesday (June 26).
Some of the jewellery taken from both houses was of great sentimental value and other items stolen included a Fossil watch and a Dell laptop.
The thieves broke into the first home and then climbed over the back garden fence to get to the second one.
Officers investigating the incidents have been gathering and studying CCTV footage as part of their investigation and carrying out door-to-door inquiries.
They want anyone who witnessed the burglaries or anyone with any information to call Det Con Tony Flannagan, from the burglary team at Bromsgrove Police, on 0300 333 3000. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Following the burglaries, DC Flannagan has urged residents across Bromsgrove to be vigilant, ensuring windows and doors are locked and any valuables are kept out of sight.
He also suggested serial numbers of expensive items be recorded, and that the items are marked with SmartWater.
As well as assisting the police in tracing the owners and returning their items if they are stolen, SmartWater can also help prosecute the thieves.
