BROMSGROVE District Councillors Sean Shannon and Rory Shannon, along with Margaret Dieterman, from Hopwood will be on the High Street on the main market days - Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays - collecting signatures for the Save the Alex campaign.
They say the response has been good so far and it is hoped more names will be added to the ever increasing list.
Sean said: "We must all send a clear message to the Joint Services Review Board to retain an Accident and Emergency service in the north of the county and that no mothers want to give birth on the M5 while hurtling towards a Worcester hospital.
"We now all know that the threat to services at the Alex is all about Government cuts rather than clinical needs.
"The Standard has helped get a greatly-needed campaign off the ground with more than 20,000 signatures so far collected in Redditch after a couple of weeks.
"Bromsgrove residents are urged to play their part in this campaign."
The team will be in Bromsgrove High Street again today (Friday).
