YOUNGSTERS from Bromsgrove's Chadsgrove School and Meadows First School were among those taking part in the

West Midlands Junior Athletics Trials.

They were joined at the event, which was held at the town's Ryland Centre, by pupils from Victoria School in Northfield.

In total, 112 pupils from special schools across the region competed in several events, including the shot putt, precision club, 100m and 200m races.

The day was supported by leaders from South Bromsgrove High School, Droitwich Spa High School and Lions Clubs International.
