AN AMERICAN tourist, who is due to go back to The States on Monday (May 21), has been left devastated after her iPad containing photographs from her time in the UK was stolen in Bromsgrove.
It was taken at around 3.30pm on Monday (May 14), while she was in Poundland on the High Street.
The woman, who is in her 40s, put the iPad down on a shelf, whilst looking at items and forgot to pick it back up when she left.
After returning to the store, she found the black iPad 2 had gone.
The device was in a black neoprene case and is worth around £400, although the irreplaceable photographs on the machine are of much more sentimental value.
Since the theft, officers have been studying CCTV footage from the shop.
PC Matt Hunt said: "The victim has been on a tour around the UK and has many photos on the iPad that can't be replaced.
"She leaves to go home on Monday and would really love to have it returned before then."
He appealed for anyone who witnessed the theft or anyone with any information to call him on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. .
