A BROMSGROVE woman who shed 12 and half stone has now set her sights on helping other slimmers after starting her own Weight Watchers class.
Sara Newton, 30, from Perryfields Road, Catshill, weighed in at more than 20-stone at her heaviest and wore size 26 jeans.
She lost four stone in nine months alone after the birth of her daughter in 2009 on top of the eight-and-a-half stone she had already shed since joining the programme in 2003.
And now Sara, who became a Weight Watchers' leader last year, is urging people to come along to her new Studley based weight loss group which began at Studley Village Hall on Monday night (May 14).
She said: "I've lost so much weight and I want to help as many people as possible lose theirs.
"Weight Watchers just works.
"You can eat what you like.
"Nothing is restricted as long as its within your points allowance.
"I was still allowed my Chinese take-away."
The Weight Watchers ProPoints plan works by allocating points to every food and drink based on the amount of protein, carbohydrate, fat and fibre in the portion. Dieters are allocated a points allowance for each day as a guide to lose weight.
The group used to be based at Studley Sports and Social club and has around 25 members.
Meetings start at 7pm on Mondays at the hall on High Street, Studley and last for an hour.
Anyone interested in joining the group can contact Sara on 01527 835393.
