A GROUP of ramblers from Bromsgrove honoured their 20th anniversary this week with a walk.
The 35-strong St Godwald Ramblers kicked off its celebration on Sunday (April 22) with a thanksgiving service at the St Godwald’s church before getting on a coach to the Clee Hills.
Married couple Christine and Peter Rose, who have run the group ever since joining the original four church members on April 21, 1992, were presented with a digital photgraph screen, port and a rose.
Over the years, they have led their fellow walkers around the country to such places as the lake district, Wales, Devon and the Isle of Wight.
Their next walk will be around Chipping Campden in the Cotswolds on May 19.
Christine said: “Hopefully we will get some sunshine, but if we stopped the group because of a bit of rain, we would upset a lot of people.
“After 20 years, you get used to it.”
