A CHINESE lighting manufacturer has announced it will be bringing almost 200 new jobs to Rubery by 2015.
The news came as NVC Lighting Limited, a supplier of exterior lighting products and a subsidiary of China’s largest lighting producer, officially opened its new premises on the Great Park.
The new building will allow NVC to double its UK operation and will accommodate the growing number of employees - there are currently around 70 permanent staff, but the company expect to have a total of 250 in the next three years.
NVC started with just seven when it opened its first UK branch in Rubery, in 2009.
Gary Pass, NVC’s UK director, said: “We are delighted with the strength of NVC’s performance in the UK.
“With such a strong period of trading over the past three years, we are certainly looking to replicate in the UK the success of our Chinese counterpart, which has the largest share of the Chinese lighting market.
“Our dedicated staff work incredibly hard to ensure we offer the best products and best service possible to all our customers across the country.”
NVC UK is expected to have made £25million by the end of the year.
