MORE THAN £380 was raised for the Guide Dogs charity after a sponsored walk involving residents and their four-legged friends.
‘Go Walkies for Guide Dogs’ was held on Sunday (April 1) at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre and 35 dogs and their owners took part.
This was the second year running the Jinney Ring had hosted the event, which is a national campaign to help support those affected by sight-loss.
Participants chose from three different routes - from a half-mile stroll, suitable for children, to a six-and-a-half-mile walk through ornate Worcestershire countryside.
Jinney Ring owner Amanda Sunter said: “Thanks to the efforts of local dog lovers, we’ve been able to raise much needed funds for this fantastic cause and everyone who took part, especially those with four legs, deserves a great big pat on the back.”
