OFFICERS hunting escaped prisoner John Anslow have followed up 100 calls from across the country and executed seven search warrants.
The 31-year-old has now been at large for almost a fortnight after being sprung from a prison van in Hewell Lane, Tardebigge, on January 23. He was being taken to Stafford Crown Court from HMP Hewell, where he was on remand after being charged with the murder of Richard Deakin.
Three men, two with sledge hammers, attacked the van and the four escaped in a silver Volkswagen Scirocco, with the registration number BT59 NXC.
They then switched to a silver C-Class Mercedes, which had the partial registration number KR11.
A £10,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to the recapturing of the category A prisoner.
Anyone with any information should call the incident room on 01785 235051 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Anyone who sees Anslow should not approach him as he is very dangerous. They should call 999 immediately.
